ACT Assistance Accountability & Credibility Together

For customer residing in Hamilton County, Ohio, Accountability & Credibility Together (ACT) has $1 million dollars available to help Duke Energy low-income customers needing help paying December, January, and February natural gas bills. Funding is provided through the Hamilton County Department of Job and Family Services. Some program details are:
  • Enrollment is on a first-served basis, while funds are available.
  • Customers must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline, and have at least one dependent child under age 18 living at home. For example, an annual income of $32,184 for a family of three.
  • Qualifying households will be required to pay a minimum of their Budget Billing or Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) amount. 
  • ACT will make a one-time payment to Duke Energy, not to exceed $1,000.
  • All applicants will be offered energy conservation packages from ACT and a weekly energy conservation workshop by People Working Cooperatively.
