What is Smart Saver™?

The Smart Saver Program promotes the use of high efficiency heating and cooling systems to help lower your energy costs and make your home more comfortable. Locate a Smart Saver Dealer from our current list or ask your current heating and air conditioning contractor to submit an application for your rebate.

Smart Saver Benefits

  • Save money on energy bills for years to come when you install a high efficiency heat pump or air conditioner.

  • Receive rebates for your new high efficiency heating and/or cooling system.

Efficiency of  new HVAC System installed in your Existing Home

 Rebates
  Heat Pumps: must be 14 SEER or greater and include an ECM fan motor $200 
Air Conditioners: must be 14 SEER or greater and include an ECM fan motor $200
Geothermal Heat Pumps: must be 10.5 EER or greater and include an ECM fan motor $200

 

How the Programs Works

  • The Smart Saver Program is available to Duke Energy residential customers in Indiana. Other states served by Duke Energy may have similar program offerings.
  • When a participating heating dealer or builder installs a new qualifying high efficiency system(s) in your home, the dealer or builder will submit an application for your rebate.

  2. Print builder/dealer sign-up form (pdf, 86 KB).
  3. Print the application form (pdf, 133 KB).
  4. Complete and sign the sign-up form (one time) and an application for each installation.
  5. Fax completed forms to 1-866-908-4921, or mail to the address on the application instructions.
