Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, DukeNet Communication Services, LLC (“DNCS”) is a non-regulated, wholly owned subsidiary of Duke Energy Corporation. DNCS provides wireless communication infrastructure solutions to customers in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States.
DNCS was formed after the acquisition of ten communication facilities from Lattice Communications, LLC on December 28, 2006. In addition, DNCS acquired the exclusive right to develop wireless communication infrastructure on real estate owned by Duke Energy Kentucky, Duke Energy Indiana, and Duke Energy Ohio. DNCS expanded its tower portfolio footprint in 2008 through the acquisition of 115 tower sites from Vangard Wireless, LP. Today, DNCS owns, operates, and manages 142 tower sites within the Midwest and Southeast. DNCS’ eight-state territory includes: Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
