WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Forsyth Technical Community College has received a $249,600 grant from Duke Power to support the college’s Industrial Systems Technology Training program in conjunction with Reynolds American, Inc.

The two-year grant is part of Duke Power’s Community and Technical College Grant Program. The focus of the grant program is training, retraining and other efforts to revitalize manufacturing and related businesses. The grant will fund instructors and equipment to aid in the initial start-up of the Industrial Systems Technology training program.

Recently, Reynolds American, Inc. (formerly R.J. “The college is pleased to receive this support from Duke Power. It affirms the importance of community colleges in training and strengthening the work force.
