Career Testing
Certain positions at Duke Energy require selection testing. If applicable, the test requirements are noted in the job description. You are strongly encouraged to prepare for any required selection assessment by using the following free resources developed by the Edison Electric Institute.
The employment testing division of the Edison Electric Institute has developed testing brochures and practice tests for various existing selection batteries. The testing brochures and practice tests were designed to help familiarize examinees with the selection test and provide an opportunity for them to prepare for the testing.
Preparation Booklets
Preparation booklets and practice tests are available for the majority of the selection assessments at Duke-Energy: MASS (Power Plant Maintenance positions), POSS (Plant Operators), CPMR (Meter Readers), CSR (Customer Service Representatives), and CAST (Construction and Skilled Trades positions).
