By following these simple steps Duke Energy makes it easy for you to request electric primary infrastructure for a new subdivision.- Developer contacts Duke Energy about a new subdivision or new phase to be developed.
- Duke Energy engineer meets with developer to discuss needs for electric primary infrastructure, services and street light installations.
- Duke Energy engineer obtains information from the developer to create the design and initiate the work request. A pre-construction meeting is held with the developer to discuss the final design. The request is scheduled to a construction crew to install the transformers and primary infrastructure cable.
- If inside city limits, Duke Energy engineer provides a street lighting design to the developer. The developer takes the design to the City for approval. If outside city limits, developer works directly with Duke Energy.
