Internet Explorer 5 Recommended Settings
For Windows Users
Internet Explorer 5 provides enhanced security features that may be blocking some features on our Web site. The most common solution is to set up Duke Energy as a trusted site.
To designate trusted sites:
- From the Internet Explorer menu, select Tools, then select Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab.
- Select Trusted Sites and then click the Sites button.
- Make sure to uncheck Require server verification.
- Enter the following addresses, clicking the Add button after each:
- www.duke-energy.com
- www2.duke-energy.com
- www.dukepower.com
- www.cinergyregulatedbiz.com
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
Retest: After updating your settings, test your browser again.

To enable JavaScript:

- Click on Cookies under the Receiving Files heading.
- In the menu labeled When Receiving Cookies, select Never Ask.
- Click OK.
Retest: After updating your settings, test your browser again.
